NEW DESIGN - Long Weekend - Unexpected Compliment!

Hello all!

What do you think of the new lay-out? I couldn't resist trying some of the new designs offered yesterday!

A long weekend here in NSW. I am staying here, looking after my grandchildren aged 13 & 11 whilst their parents take my little motorhome away for some time-out!

Yesterday, whilst shopping, I ran into a lady that I hadn't seen for about 7 years! She just stood staring at me then said "You look fantastic Gae and so much younger than the last time I saw you!" I was able to smile and say "Thank-you". I didn't tell her how much weight I'd lost as she didn't ask and anyway, that's between you and me ONLY!!!

How are you managing with your WW journey? It's hard to keep up with all the water in this cold isn't it? I've been having some hot lemon drinks but still not enough!

I've also been a bit slack with the exercise, not wanting to get up in the cold, dark mornings to walk! I do get on the walker in front of the TV but can only manage half an hour before I've had enough whereas I can walk outside for up to 90 minutes!

Love to hear from you all - Gae oxoxoxo

  2. Love the layout Gae - it looks wonderful :)

What a wonderful compliment to receive! Good on you for accepting it so graciously. I'm with you about not specifying how much weight you've lost, too! Only my B-man (still can't get used to the word fiance, haha!), my mum & dad and my best friend know how much I've lost! Actually they're the only ones that know I'm doing WW, too! But I agree that it's nice to have a support network online who you can be more open with, because they're all experiencing the same thing!

Yes, it's hard in the cold weather although I find I'm more active in the cold weather as I'm moving about and trying to keep warmer! And I don't have too much trouble with the water consumption as I find QLD winters to be quite dry and not particularly cold (still a Victorian at heart)! But the hot lemon drinks sound like a good idea for when it's a struggle!

All the best, hope you have a good weekend Gae!

  3. Ohh I definitely agree that the cold weather makes everything just a little harder to do!!

I have made myself head out into the wind and rain to get my walks in 3 times a week by declaring to myself a winter commitment to not undo all my hard work. I was walking 6 days a week but I feel 3 x 60 minutes is more realistic

water I drink in the morning and early afternoon and then move onto herbal teas so I do not struggle with fuids

Have a great weekend with the grandchildren Gae

  4. The blog looks great! It seems a smart idea to get some sunshine into your life somehow, even if it's just the colours of your blog.
So nice to get that compliment. You definitely do look younger in your photos.
Hope the grandkids are being good to you...

  6. Oh the Wendie Plan! I've mucked it up this week after spending the long weekend minding the grandkids!

Quite a good loss last week but expecting a gain this week! Oh well, in the big scheme of things, it's just a "bump" in the road to goal!

All the very best - Gae oxoxo
